Today we celebrate the freedoms that allow our families to gather, play, laugh, and make memories together.

As you enjoy the festivities, remember that not every child experiences the Fourth of July the same way. Fireworks, crowds, loud music, unfamiliar foods, and changes in routine can feel overwhelming for sensitive nervous systems.

If your child needs noise-canceling headphones, extra breaks, a quiet place to regroup, or chooses to watch the fireworks from inside the car—that’s okay.

There isn’t one “right” way to celebrate.

The best celebrations are the ones where every family member feels safe, supported, and included.

We hope your day is filled with connection, joy, and moments that help your family feel rooted.

🤸 Open Play - Tues & Fri 9-11:30am at the Play & Grow Studio, $15 first child / $4.50 sibling. PLUS a special weekend Open Play on July 18th, 10am-12:30pm!
🐿️ Mighty Acorn Social Club - Wed 6/17-8/19, 10am-12pm, ages 3-4, potty trained, registration required

All aboard for a one-of-a-kind train adventure!

Join us for a Big Boy Viewing Party at Rooted In Wellness as we gather to watch the legendary Big Boy steam locomotive make its journey across America. Our play space offers a fantastic bird's-eye view of the railroad tracks, giving families a unique opportunity to see this historic train pass by while enjoying a fun-filled morning together.

Before and after the train rolls through, little engineers can explore train-themed sensory play, hands-on activities, building stations, books, crafts and imaginative play designed to keep children engaged while they wait for the main event.

This caregiver-and-child event is perfect for train lovers of all ages and offers a relaxed environment to play, connect, and make lasting memories together.

What's included:
🚂 Bird's-eye view of the train tracks to watch Big Boy pass by*
🛤️ Train-themed sensory play
📚 Train books and activities
🎨 Simple themed craft
🚦 Open play throughout the event

When: July 7th, 9-11:30 am
Cost: $20 (first child); $10/additional sibling
