My heritage informs so much of my life and views on the world, and I am grateful to be able to share it with others, whether it’s visiting scouts or school classrooms, or simply being in community with others. Representation plays such an important role in normalizing a future where all of our histories are intertwined, acknowledged, processed, and moving toward a loving communal future.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month—a time to recognize the history, cultures, and contributions of AAPI communities in our county and across the nation.

Our County is proud to be home to diverse AAPI communities representing many cultures, languages, and traditions.

This month, we honor their resilience, celebrate their achievements, and reaffirm our commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone.

Intimate partner, familial, domestic violence can happen to anyone, anywhere. Our own community is no exception. Join us tonight at 7pm to learn more about how the process of obtaining protection orders works and access resources for these challenging interpersonal problems.

Reminder that this Thursday, March 19, the Police Department and Board of Commissioners are launching their first public safety forum! The topic for this quarter's forum is Cybercrimes and Fraud Schemes. All community members are encouraged to attend, share their thoughts, and ask questions about the topic.
