Mirick is proud of its highly effective summer associate program. Our goal is to provide summer associates with substantive work from each of our practice areas and with as many attorneys as possible.

Attorney Ashlyn Dowd, who began her career at Mirick as a Summer Associate, now helps to oversee the program. "One of the most rewarding aspects of leading the summer associate program is the opportunity to reflect on my own experience as a summer associate in 2019. The mentorship, guidance, and support I received at Mirick played a pivotal role in launching my legal career. Today, I am proud to help provide that same experience by mentoring and supporting each new summer associate as they begin their own professional journeys,” she said.

Luisa Esquivel is Mirick's Summer Associate for 2026. "My summer at Mirick has been an incredible experience where I’ve had the opportunity to work with attorneys across multiple practice groups. I’ve been able to work on a variety of transactional and litigation matters, and every assignment has been a chance to learn something new and strengthen different legal skills. The chance to contribute meaningfully while learning from attorneys throughout the firm has made this an incredibly rewarding experience and has been invaluable to my professional growth!" she said.
