Leadership Worcester

We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of Leadership Worcester alumnus Walter Jovel, Class of 2021.

Walter brought incredible positivity, kindness, and passion to everything he did. Whether talking about soccer, martial arts, food, or his deep love for the Worcester community, he had a way of making people feel connected and seen.

Through his work with the Hope Coalition and his decade of service as facilitator for the Worcester Youth Leadership Institute, Walter made a lasting impact on countless young people and on our city as a whole. His dedication to mentoring, leadership, and community building will not be forgotten.

We extend our deepest condolences to Walter’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege to know him.
