Vinyl flooring patterns are either inlaid or printed on the surface of the material. Inlaid patterns’ color extends through the thickness of the material, which allows it to remain vibrant longer. Surface-printed patterns are printed on top of the vinyl flooring and are often less expensive.

So what exactly is quarry tile? This is a broad classification for any type of tile that’s made out of a mixture of clays. Quarry tile is typically deep red and unglazed, and should be sealed following installation.
