Today the most special mix I’ve made to date goes live. It’s full of boundary-pushing, genre-defying bass music in honor of our late friend Vano who unexpectedly passed two and a half years ago.

We met some short years before that when he and his team at the dispatch collective came to our 10th fractalfest and built a gorgeous and unique late night stage with their impressive LED sculptures.

The following October as they were planning their Biomech event in NYC we bonded over our shared love of artists like, skee mask, vacant, synkro and others to whom bass music was less of a formula for music, but an inspiration to create truly novel dance music. Vano also followed this path both with his genius music productions and his unique visual art with the Dispatch Collective.

This live mix was recorded at Sonic Ju**ie studios with my good fiend and Fractalfest co-conspirator Hayley Carloni who performed her brilliant and equally boundary pushing Visuals the entire time. It’s available on YouTube (check my story for the link) and on SoundCloud as well.

It’s a blend of some of my favorite cuts that embody the best of forward thinking bass music, that while brilliant, most dance floors and clubs are not quite ready for but represent rhe future of the genres, and put creativity in the forefront.
