Today, we celebrate the graduation of our Legacy Transport Program participants a cohort that showed up with consistency, professionalism, and purpose.

Over a six-month period (June 10 – December 24, 2025), this group transported 642,143.5 pounds of food from the Worcester County Food Bank to five local food pantries, helping ensure families across our region had access to food when they needed it most.

📊 The impact tells the story:
• 87% overall attendance
• Strong ratings for communication (4.36) and attitude (4.39)
• Two-thirds of participants secured full-time employment

Investment in this program has a dual impact.

🍎 Food insecurity is real and growing.
Across the U.S., more than 47 million people, including 14 million children, experience food insecurity. In Massachusetts, over 1 in 3 households now struggles to consistently access food.

💼 At the same time, employment is stability.

This program doesn’t just move food. It builds job readiness, work history, accountability, and confidence translating into real employment outcomes for participants.
