🌈 The Pride flag is more than a tradition — it’s a symbol of belonging, resilience, and progress. This year, we’re also celebrating the swearing-in of Worcester’s LGBTQIA+ Commission. Visibility matters. ✨

Join us Friday 11am at City of Worcester, City Hall.

🌿 On this Indigenous People’s Day, we honor the traditional, ancestral territory of the first peoples of Massachusetts.

Today, we stand on the lands of the Nipmuc Nation, now known as Worcester County.

📜 While Nipmuc history predates written records, the 1600s tell us they lived in areas we now call:

• Pakachoag
• Tatesset (Tatnuck)
• Wigwam Hill (North Lake Ave)

It’s important we continue to acknowledge and honor the ancestors who first resided here and still prosper today.

Too often, we live on this land without knowing its true history. Let’s take a moment to reflect, honor, and learn.

During , I want to express my gratitude to all the incredible educators who have shaped me into the person I am today. From instilling a love for learning to providing guidance and support, teachers play a critical role in our lives. I’ve always stood by teachers, advocating for fair pay and recognition for their invaluable contributions. This week and every week, I am deeply appreciative of the hard work and dedication of teachers everywhere. Thank you for all you do!
