Mobile health (mHealth) autism screening tools have the potential to enhance early access to ASD care; however, low-income and minority families encounter obstacles in utilizing this technology.

The “Assessing Usability of mHealth Autism Screening Tools for the Medically Underserved” project focuses on evaluating current mHealth autism screening tools by gathering user data from low-income and minority parents and community providers to gain insights into usage barriers. Additionally, interviews are being conducted with developers of screening tools to establish guidelines for mHealth autism screening tools that cater to the needs of underserved families and populations.
