❄️ Schools Closed, Offices Open on Friday, January 30, 2026 for Worcester Public Schools ❄️

Schools in the Worcester Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 30, 2026, due to hazardous wind chill conditions.

All WPS athletic events scheduled for the afternoon and evening on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 will take place as scheduled.

Head Start and all after-school activities are also canceled.

Administrative offices are open. All 52-week employees must report to their site.

With the anticipated forecast, Worcester Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Monday, January 26, was already a “no school day” for students due to the staff Professional Development Day.

The Professional Development Day will be rescheduled to a later date and staff will be notified. School staff should not report to work on Monday (1/26/26) due to the forecast of snow.

WPS administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 26.

Essential personnel need to report to work as directed by their supervisors.

🚘 Evening Driver's Education Course 🚘

The Central Massachusetts Safety Council (CMSC) Driving School is offering an evening driving course for WPS students from January 27 to February 11 from 5:00 to 8:15 PM at South High Community School (170 Apricot Street).

Through CMSC’s partnership with Worcester Public Schools, students can access driver’s education at discounted rates.
