📢✏️CALLING ALL TO UNITE & HELP✏️📢

CAUSE: As you may know, the children attending the Worcester Public Schools this year will begin the school year learning virtually at home on laptops that are being issued by the City thanks to the hard work of our Worcester School Committee and City Council.

As trying to learn virtually is difficult enough for both students and teachers, there are many other challenges these children face. Many families cannot afford standard school supplies for their children, never mind trying to afford or get access to the internet, printers, or other required materials our children need to learn.

In trying to combat some of these challenges, I reached out to my good friend Woodrow Adams Jr., the founder of the non-profit 508foreveryoung, who has been making a positive change with the disadvantaged children here in Worcester for years.

HOW TO HELP: No matter your opinions, views, or affiliations, I’m asking our community to take a moment, COME TOGETHER, and help these children in need as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Woody Adams and the 508ForeverYoung Foundation have agreed to accept donations of these supplies and disperse them to our children and families who so desperately need them to start the school year. These supplies include:

PPE, Pens, Pencils, Pencil Sharpeners, Highlighters, Erasers, Scissors, Notebooks, Calculators, Crayons, Colored Pencils, Washable Markers, Glue Sticks, Rulers, Folders, Paper, Printers, Ink, and more…

As some of these supplies may be hard to find at a time like this, then go and clean out a drawer or closet in your home, package up these supplies, and please drop them off at our drop off location below:
