Why Many Ramadans Fail in the First Week (and no one talks about it)
Mindset & Expectations:
Every year, the same scenario repeats itself.
The first days of Ramadan begin with motivation... then quickly come fatigue, irritability, lack of focus, and discouragement. Some already say: "I've failed my Ramadan."
The truth is: this shock is normal.
Suddenly changing sleep patterns, meal times, caffeine intake, and energy levels has a real impact on both body and mind. The problem isn't low energy — it's unrealistic expectations.
The Prophet se taught us the principle of gradual progress.
Allah says in the Qur'an:
"Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear." (Surah Al-Bagarah, 2:286)
Ramadan is not meant to be perfect from day one. It is a journey, an adjustment, a gradual rise.
Practical application:
- Accept the first week as an adjustment phase, not failure.
- Don't try to do everything at once.
- Set few goals, but stay consistent.
- Sincerity matters more than performance.
