The storm we had on the 19th of January was a perfect storm for photography! Just a few inches and stuck to the trees nicely. One of my favorite spots to photograph in the winter is over in the Pine Grove behind the Lagoon. Spent over an hour just wandering around under the trees and shooting. Here are some of my best. Have you ever wanted to know how to make a block print? Well now’s your chance! On November 13th, 2025, the Woburn Guild of Artists will host Maritza Lezama as their November Artist Demo. Maritza is a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and Programs & Projects Manager at Refuge Art School. She first joined Refuge as a high school student and discovered art as both healing and purpose. Now at 22, she supports young artists with the same care that shaped her own path, mentoring through lived experience and community connection. Alongside her role at Refuge, she coordinates the mini galleries at Western Avenue Studios and continues to build spaces where creativity and resilience thrive. She will demonstrate the process of making a block print, an art that is over 4000 years old!

This demo will take place on 11/13/25 at the First Baptist Church in Woburn Center at 7:00 pm. All are welcome and it is FREE! Come down Park St. to the right of the Church and into the parking lot behind the Church. Entrance door is on the right. Need more info? PM me or email at [email protected].

It was lovely yesterday afternoon! The light was really beautiful so I stopped by Arlington Road, the only public road that runs along Horn Pond (where I live) on the way home from the PO. Enjoy!

It's that time of year again! Time to think about calendars for next year! I will again be doing my large calendar of Horn Pond scenics and a small calendar of Horn Pond macro (flowers, ferns, etc.). The large calendar is 11.7 inches by 16.5 inches. The smaller calendar is 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Both are on good stock with excellent color and a heavy duty hanger (I'm still using the same company for those of you that have bought from me before, so you know the quality). I will have a preview of the photos soon for those who want a sneak peek! Just pop me an email or PM me on here, if you want to see. Give me till the end of the month, though.
The price will be $20.00 for the large and $15.00 for the small.
