We know how important it is to stay informed—especially when it comes to local elections. With early voting for the primary election just around the corner, we’d like to invite you to join us tomorrow, Thursday, May 7th at 5:30 PM for a Local Candidates Meet and Greet.
This is a great opportunity to meet the candidates appearing on the primary ballot. While the group may be small, they represent important roles in our community. Come ask questions, hear their perspectives, and get to know where they stand.
You’ll also have the chance to connect with some non-partisan candidates who will be moving on to the general election in November. Taking time now to learn about the candidates can make a real difference as we move further into the election season.
We hope to see you there. Light refreshments, coffee, and water will be provided.

Very proud and honored to have received the endorsement from the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters. This group represents tradespeople that work hard every day. The interview was very detailed and I appreciate the time and effort that their organization put into the process. As Comptroller for Humboldt County I always negotiated in good faith to provide fair salary and benefits for our employees while remaining fiscally conservative to preserve taxpayer funds for services to citizens, operations and capital projects. Finding this balance and listening to our employees is important. This and the recognition of the importance of trades earned me this endorsement that I am thankful to receive.

Great event today! Those who participated in the Color Run had big smiles on their faces. Thank you to WDVS for sponsoring the Party In The Park. Great vendors with something for everyone. We met some wonderful people today and had enlightening conversation with many. I was super happy to have my girlfriends stop by for some moral support and a hug. Thanks to my husband, Jim, for spending the day with me. Annnnnd the winner of the American 🇺🇸 flag is Willow T. She was actually at the table when I called her name and was so excited 😃

I just want to say THANK YOU 😊 to everyone who have put my sign in their yards. This is a major statement especially in our small town. Putting up with all of our signs as your “yard art” is appreciated and I believe I speak for all of the candidates when I say that. I have enjoyed the great conversations with many of you when I showed up personally to visit with you while Chief Sign Installer did his work. I have listened to your comments and concerns and I promise you that I will do my very best for the citizens of Winnemucca if elected. This won’t be my side job, this will be my main priority.
