In this presentation, Joan Davis, RN, MS, will share tips on how to cook healthier and faster, including how to be a plant-based cook without spending all your time in the kitchen. Other tips include how to cook simple meals with a few basic recipes you can modify for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; how to organize a “salad bar” in your refrigerator; and how to create grain and veggie bowls. Everything tastes better fresh from the farm stand! Chef Cherise Slattery will share garden-fresh appetizers with you that are easy to prepare and delicious to eat. Chef will discuss recipes using zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, peppers, fresh herbs, and berries. Garden-fresh samples of Grilled Corn Crostini and Harvest Salsa with chips will be served.
