MAY IS CHILD’S MONTH!! (Jamaica 🇯🇲)

If I had one wish - I would wish for EVERY child to be this outspoken and direct and for EVERY parent/guardian/caregiver to honor and respect a child's request when they make it known that they are made to feel uncomfortable with a person, action or thing!

Respect a child's personal space!

Respect their feelings!

Honor their request, if they say No, I don't like that! Know, they don't like that!!

CHILDREN HAVE RIGHTS TOO!!

MAY IS CHILD’S MONTH!! Many will view this little clip and laugh at the delivery; others may take issue at HIS outspokenness, but some will get the message! CHILDREN HAVE RIGHTS TOO!! Listen to the Children! Respect their wishes! DJ, like EVERY other CHILD, has RIGHTS to their BODIES and their PERSONAL SPACE! Parent/Guardians/Teachers/Caregivers - Pay attention! Listen and watch for the verbal or non-verbal cues; I don't like that! That action or person makes me uncomfortable! Stop! No! Will You Listen?!

If you will gather with family and friends over the next few days for Christmas please keep this in the back of your mind if you have children. S*xual abuse rises during the holidays. You are gathering with people you trust but it is often the people you trust that are hurting your children. You think your children are off playing in the basement or a bedroom with the other kids. What you might not know is they are being sexually abused somewhere in that house by a trusted person. Check on your children frequently during these large gatherings of family and friends throughout your time together.
