There was a point in my career when choosing weft colors felt… unnecessarily stressful.

I’d stand there with a handful of swatches, second-guessing every move, wondering if I should go lighter, darker, cooler, warmer… and nothing ever felt quite right.

I stopped trying to match the hair perfectly in the moment and started choosing colors that would live and age with the clients natural hair.

Now, I always pick three weft colors that replicate the client’s actual color as it exists today.

Not the idealized version we are coloring to.
Not what they “used to be.”
Not what I want them to be.

The real, present-day color.

Because when I color the hair extensions both the natural hair…
and the extensions fade…

AND I want them to fade together.
Same tone, same warmth shift, same softness.

No harsh lines. No color surprises. No blending battles at their next appointment.

Customizing becomes so much easier.

I formulate on the extensions the same way I correct on the hair same logic, same strategy, same eye.
