See those long strands sticking up above the surface?
We call those cat pulls.

They’re individual fibers that get pulled higher than the rest of the pile over time, making a rug look fuzzy or uneven even when it’s otherwise in good condition. Careful clipping trims only the raised fibers and restores a clean, uniform surface.

It’s a small detail — but it makes a noticeable difference when done correctly.

Repurposing a Persian Sarouk Rug (circa 1930s)

Taking a beautiful old Sarouk from the 1930s and giving it a second life. In this video, we’re cutting and fabricating custom seat cushions — and once everything is shaped and stitched, we’ll be adding finished side binding to complete the look.
