Windham Lions Club

It was a great day celebrating Windham's 250th Town Day in honor of our country's 250th year! Members enjoyed handing out Patriotic giveaways, chatting with community friends and our new honorary member, Police Officer John Bennett! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us while enjoying the festivities!

We also were thrilled to have the NH State Police SWAT team demonstrate their repelling tactics.... even Governor Kelly Ayotte joined in!!

What a great day! Thank you to our Parks and Recreation Director Cheryl Haas, Jennier Simmons, the Letizio Family and all those who had a part in making this a successful event!

Windham Lions Club was happy to present our donation in the amount of $10,000 to the Windham Endowment. This year, the Windham Endowment is raising funds to support the Windham Senior and Community Center.

For many years, the Windham Lions Club called the Senior Center our meeting home. As the senior center undergoes its exciting renovations, we look forward to returning to our familiar meeting place and enjoying the many improvements.

We appreciate and thank the Windham Endowment for all the work they are doing to enhance this wonderful community resource.

Continuing with our Patriotic "Socks of Love" theme in commemoration of our Country's 250th celebration, Lions Mary Ann Horaj, Doreen Demone, Diane Leone and Renee Bailey visited Windham Terrace Assisted Living and enjoyed spending time with the residents and staff at their ice cream social. Members even assisted in making ice cream sundaes! Delivering the socks to the residents brings much joy and pleasure when you see the smiles on their faces!

Lions Diane and Renee also visited Warde Senior Living where residents enjoyed receiving their Patriotic "Socks of Love" filled with fun treats!

It's been a busy week for Windham Lions Club visiting our First Responders and our Librarians. President Zack Brown, Treasurer Tom Winter and Lions Becky Brown and Glenn Jutras stopped by Windham Fire, Windham Police and the Nemith Library and presented each with a $1,000 donation. We are forever thankful for their service to our community.
