Barrow County Fire Department

Lt. Ouzts began his career with BCFD in November 2021 and has quickly established himself as a dedicated firefighter, leader, and public servant. Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence, he has progressed through the ranks from Firefighter/EMT to Sergeant, and now to Lieutenant.
Wyatt is married to his wife, Lexie, and together they have two children. His commitment to family, service, and leadership has been evident throughout his career and has helped shape him into the officer he is today.
Throughout his time with the department, Wyatt has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a willingness to lead by example. His passion for serving the citizens of Barrow County and supporting his fellow firefighters has earned him the respect of those around him.
Lt. Ouzts will remain assigned to C-Shift, where he will continue to serve our community and help develop the next generation of firefighters.
Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Wyatt Ouzts on this well-deserved promotion. We thank him for his dedication and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to make within our department.
Congratulations, Lt. Ouzts! ππ

Please join us in congratulating three members of the Barrow County Fire Department on their recent graduation from the Leadership Barrow Class of 2026.
Leadership Barrow is a community leadership development program designed to educate and inspire current and emerging leaders by providing a deeper understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and organizations that shape Barrow County. Throughout the program, participants engage with local government, public safety, education, healthcare, business, and community leaders while building relationships that strengthen our community.
We are proud of these employees for their commitment to professional growth, community involvement, and servant leadership. The knowledge and connections gained through Leadership Barrow will continue to benefit both the Barrow County Fire Department and the citizens we serve.
Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!
