Life for Pets
Good morning all. Hope Spay and Neuter is looking for a fill in vet for our clinic. We had one scheduled for March 4, 2024 that had to cancel on us last minute. If you know of one that might be interested please let me know. They can contact me at [email protected] or via fb.
Life for Pets is sad to announce at this time that we will be suspending our s/n vouchers for the immediate future. We are working on raising funds so we may be able to reimplement this program in the future. If you live in Clark County, contact the shelter about their s/n program. If you live elsewhere reach out to Hope Spay and Neuter in Versailles or Woodstock in Lexington. Appointments will not be immediate as most clinics are booked out for at least 2 to 3 months.

Calling all my animal friends and rescue fanatics. Have you ever wondered what it was like to volunteer at a spay and neuter clinic. Well now is your chance to find out. Hope Spay and Neuter Clinic in Versailles is in serious need of some devoted volunteers. We need volunteers to help in surgery, in the cat room, the dog rooms, in the front office with scheduling and with our landscaping. Clinic is one day a week and depending on what you are interested in doing some hours are flexible. Great experience for someone who might be interested in going into veterinary medicine or another animal related field. (859) 873-4673 leave a message and a volunteer will get back with you.

Sometimes even Batman needs to be rescued. Batman came to Hope to be neutered a couple months ago. His daddy initially had to cancel his appointment because he couldn't find him a ride. Hence operation Batman. I went and picked him up the night before his neuter and brought him to clinic the next day then returned him to his daddy that evening. His daddy is going through some tough times and is working on getting to a better place. He had to go out of town and had no place for Batman to go. Once again, I stepped up and helped find a place for Batman to stay. I was able to network among volunteers and we found him a safe place to land for the week his dad was gone. Batman enjoyed his week vacation, but I am told was very happy to be back with his dad. This is rescue, not only do we work with the animals we also work with their parents.
