• Rising 10th, 11th, or 12th grader

Third Grade is a BIG year!

Third grade is a key year for reading skills in Florida, with promotion to 4th grade depending on FAST PM 3 or the State Reading Assessment. RCMA’s Parent Education Night this week, March 4, helps families understand this milestone and see how scholars are doing.

Our third graders recently explored Unit 7: Astronomy , Our Solar System and Beyond! Thanks to the creativity and dedication of Mrs. Vargas (Spanish side) and Mrs. Brito (English side), scholars used the Be GLAD Learning Log to showcase their learning through writing and illustrations, in both languages.

El tercer grado es un año clave para las habilidades de lectura en Florida, ya que la promoción al 4.º grado depende del FAST PM 3 o de la Evaluación Estatal de Lectura. La Noche de Educación para Padres de RCMA, que se llevará a cabo esta semana, 4 de marzo, ayuda a las familias a comprender este requisito y conocer cómo van los estudiantes.

¡Nuestros estudiantes de tercer grado exploraron recientemente la Unidad 7: Astronomía – Nuestro Sistema Solar y Más Allá! Gracias a la creatividad y dedicación de la Sra. Five RCMA WCA 8th grade students made a special stop at the University of Florida and enjoyed a quick tour of the beautiful campus. They had the opportunity to explore the school and start imagining their future in higher education.

RCMA WCA definitely sees some future Gators in the making in just a few years.

Cinco estudiantes de 8.º grado de RCMA WCA hicieron una parada especial en la Universidad de Florida y disfrutaron de un breve recorrido por el hermoso campus. Tuvieron la oportunidad de explorar la universidad y comenzar a imaginar su futuro en la educación superior.

RCMA WCA definitivamente ve a algunos futuros Gators formándose en tan solo unos pocos años.

Ancient beasts have begun to appear in our office… and it’s all thanks to our incredibly talented 7th grade students!

Our young artists have brought dinosaurs back to life through their amazing artwork. From fierce T-Rex creations to detailed prehistoric scenes, their creativity and hard work are impressive.

We are so proud of our 7th graders and the imagination they’ve shown in every piece!

Antiguas bestias han comenzado a aparecer en nuestra oficina… ¡y todo es gracias a nuestros increíblemente talentosos estudiantes de 7.º grado!

Nuestros jóvenes artistas han traído a los dinosaurios de vuelta a la vida a través de sus impresionantes obras de arte. Desde feroces creaciones de T-Rex hasta detalladas escenas prehistóricas, su creatividad y dedicación son realmente admirables.

¡Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes de 7.º grado y de la imaginación que han demostrado en cada obra!

RCMA Alumni Spotlight

We are excited to shine the spotlight on one of our amazing RCMA alumni, Jesus Nava!

Jesus graduated from Lennard High School in 2025 during his junior year, a full year early, proof of his determination and drive. From there, he had a clear plan for his future. Jesus chose to pursue a trade career and is currently enrolled in the Welding Program at Manatee Technical College.

We are already seeing his skills in action through his tree project, where his hard work and talent are truly shining.

Congratulations, Jesus! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see your career take off. Keep reaching for your goals!

RCMA is proud of its students AND its amazing alumni! Special congratulations to Sebastian Gutierrez. He was a graduate of RCMA's Wimauma Community Academy. Sebastian successfully completed United States Marine Corps training, where he earned an Honor Award and was recognized as one of the few recruits ranked at the top of his class. We are extremely proud of you, Sebastian, and grateful for your service to our country. You continue to make the entire RCMA community proud!
