Summer in the south is uniquely its own. The weather lives an indecisive life down here. It’s never really sure what it wants to do from day to day and most southern folk are no different. In many other parts of the US every day is scheduled out, but that way doesn’t really work here. If you can slow down a bit and trade some discomfort for beauty and find the romance in that way of life, you’ll fall in love with this place. However you can rest assure that you’ll notice that charm with burnings eyes from the salt of sweat and if you pass out from the heat, you’ll come to with about ten local strangers trying to revive you and nurse you back to health. It’s called hospitality and it doesn’t have much to do with houses but I hope it stays in the spirit of this place forever.
