The Jackson Robol Show
06/03/2026
My son Charlie just finished his sophomore year of college. He plays baseball for a summer league.
Yesterday we went to a game.
After the last inning, a gaggle of kids surrounded the team. The players chatted with them and signed their hats, their t-shirts.
As we headed out of the stadium, a little boy stood quietly by the bleachers. He was holding a pen and a ball.
Autism is a listener's language. You have to slow down, and hear beyond the words.
Charlie has always been fluent.
Watching him kneel down and gently take the ball in his hands, I smiled. I couldn't help but think of his brother Jack, miles away from this day, this stadium, this sky.
Autism siblings.
They will tend to the tender ones.
I love this picture.
