Who knew a few simple supplies could create so many opportunities for skill-building? This colorful water activity is easy to set up, fun for all ages, and packed with opportunities to target occupational therapy skills right at home!

Here’s what you’ll need (shown above):
💧 Large water container with spout or pitcher
🪣 Bucket or sensory bin
🚿 Garden hose or watering can
🧽 Sponges
🧴 Spray bottle
🥄 Scoops, funnels, or measuring cups
🥤 Clear cups or containers
🎨 Color tablets or food coloring
🧪 Droppers or pipettes

Try these OT-inspired activities:
🌈 Mix primary colors to discover new colors.
💦 Use droppers or pipettes to transfer colored water between cups.
🧽 Squeeze water from sponges into a bucket.
🎯 Spray or pour colored water into matching containers.
🥄 Scoop, pour, and compare different amounts of water.
