ANCORP Vacuum Chamber Powers the Future of Physics ⚛️

Brookhaven National Laboratory reached a major milestone in building the world’s first fully polarized Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), a breakthrough in nuclear physics research. At the core of the achievement is a high-voltage polarized electron gun, enabled by a custom-engineered, 36-inch spherical vacuum chamber manufactured by ANCORP.

This chamber features multiple ports, advanced power delivery integration, and optimized geometry to ensure exceptional vacuum performance and exact radial alignment. Throughout the project, ANCORP worked closely with BNL, providing on-site reviews, ultrasonic cleaning, and rigorous testing to meet the collider’s demanding specifications.

This collaboration highlights how our ultra-high vacuum solutions support the world’s most advanced scientific research.
