The last day to file 2021 extended tax returns is Oct 17, 2022 without being considered late by the IRS. Great advice is to make sure you've provided everything your tax professional needs on or before Oct 10, 2022!

The IRS will begin accepting individual (personal) e-file tax returns on the 24 of Jan 2022. Most of my clients are still waiting for some of their required tax forms after Feb 1. The law says W-2 & 1099-NEC forms are to be postmarked by the end of January.
