It’s crazy to look back and see all the hard work I put into becoming a nurse to help people and then entering the workforce and realizing how all the systems in place really fail people and their health. They’ve created a system that puts a bandaid on people’s symptoms and neglects the root cause of their illness. It really feels like our healthcare is “sick care.” I forget that the reason I became a nurse is so that I can eventually open up a business that not only prevents illnesses, but allows the individual to thrive. So, while I’m working as a nurse in the meantime, I’ll gather ideas, plan and map out a system that truly helps people help themselves.

I’m so excited to start my nursing journey this upcoming Monday. I’ll be working in home health and I’ll be sharing vlogs and posts to bring a little more awareness to this field as it’s rarely discussed in nursing school (if ever discussed).
Not everyone who goes through nursing school is meant to work at the hospital, and that’s okay! It doesn’t make you any less of a nurse than those who do. But, that being said, I was a little confused what area of nursing I wanted to dive into. After a little research, a few areas peaked my interest and home health is one of them! Hopefully I can experience a few of those areas and shed some light what it’s like to be a nurse that isn’t working in the hospital setting.

YES! It is easy to lose weight. It’s easy to cut out carbs, to start cardio, to start a fad diet AND lose the weight. It is HARDER to keep the weight off.
In order to keep the weight off, you must be willing to execute healthy habits consistently. Pick habits that you can keep up with and that you enjoy. The weight loss may be slow, but you will be healthier and happier because you will be keeping the weight off.
