Last week wasn't just studying and finals for the MLS students. They had plenty to celebrate!

🩸The 1st PeG award was given. This is a peer nominated award for a student who exemplifies strong team work, kindness, and intelligence. Students nominate the classmate who they would want working by their side in the lab. Congratulations, Josie!

🎳The students also had their end of the semester gathering. What better way to end the semester than bowling, pool, and trivia!😄

Anica Tang was the 10th recipient of the South Central Pathology Scholarship! Thank you, Dr. Alderson, for your generosity and support to the MLS profession and to our students!🥰

Denny Coyne a local certified clinical perfusionist came to speak to our students about perfusion during cardiac surgery. He brought a heart and lung machine for the students to see as he shared about his profession and working together in allied health. Thank you for all you do and for the fruit and lemonade, Denny!🤩

Wichita State won the photo contest for lab week! 🥳 Thank you to everyone who voted for us! 😃

It's Lab Week!🔬MLS kicked off the festivities with the 5k on Friday at Sedgwick County Park and are having games and snacks each day this week. Today was bagels and Jell-O "agar" plates!😋

The students and faculty attended the ASCLS conference this week. It was a fun way to get out of the lab and experience the greater MLS community!
