When my kid(s) one day ask:

“Dad, what did you do in the 2020s to stand up for those who needed it most?”

I want to be able to answer without hesitation:

That I used every ounce of influence I had to expand opportunity, restore hope, and ensure that every one of God’s children was seen, supported, and valued—by their community and by their government.

Because in the end, the measure of our time won’t be what we said; it will be what we did for those who needed us.
