As my business continues to grow, I’m making some small shifts to my policies to ensure I can provide the best quality and focus for every single one of you.
Starting immediately, a Detangling Fee will be applied to braiding and extension appointments if hair requires more than 15 minutes of prep/detangling.

I love creating these looks for you, but extensive detangling (sometimes 2+ hours!) adds significant time to the day. To keep my schedule on track and respect everyone’s appointment times, please arrive "comb-ready" or be prepared for the additional service fee.

I will be posting my “Appointment Ready” guide soon to make it more clear as well.

If you’re a stylist, you know the struggle. You’re looking at a head of hair that is thick, full, and has a cuticle layer tighter than a vault. If you just "wash and go," that silk press is going to be dry by the time she hits the parking lot.

The Breakdown:
✨ The "Open Sesame" Method: For her deep conditioner, we didn't just let it sit. We used a steam towel. When dealing with low porosity, you need that moist heat to gently lift the scales of the cuticle so the treatment actually penetrates the cortex instead of just sitting on top.

✨ The Gloss Hack: I went with Shades EQ Cream + 10 Volume.
• Why Cream? It’s a bit more substantial for high-density and/or curly, dry hair!

• Why 10 Vol? On low-porosity hair, sometimes a standard processing solution needs a tiny "nudge" to get past that stubborn cuticle. The 10-volume ensures we get that pH shift and deposit right where we need it for that glass-like finish.

✨ The Result: A silk press with actual swing and hydration that won't frizz up at the first sign of humidity.

You’ve probably seen the “butterfly cut” floating around online, but what makes it special? ✨

This style is all about layers. The butterfly cut creates soft movement and volume by stacking layers in a way that frames the face and gives the hair a lighter, bouncier feel. It’s especially great if:

My client came in with a grown-out, nearly one-length cut, and we customized a softer version of the butterfly cut just for her. The result? Fresh shape, shine, and movement — without sacrificing ponytail-friendly length.

I thought I’d share a few things about my journey that you might not know:

💃🏽 I was signed to 3 different modeling agencies and loved the creativity of fashion and photography.

🎤 By the age of 15, I had signed a singing contract after traveling to talent scouting events across the U.S. I even spent over a month in Nashville producing music alongside several incredible artists.

📸 In 2020, I was honored to be the cover model for Splurge Magazine, just before the pandemic changed everything.

Every chapter—whether it was modeling, performing, or creating—has shaped the woman I am today: creative, resilient, and always evolving. I bring that same passion and energy into my role as your stylist and to Authentic Hair Company! ✂️💛
