Bowl for Kids’ Sake is here—and KWCH 12 News is proud to partner with Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters to help raise money that supports local mentor matches throughout the year.

When you donate, you’re helping kids in our community have access to consistent, caring mentors, and you’re supporting the work it takes to recruit, screen, and guide Bigs and Littles so those relationships can thrive!

Help us reach our goal! Link below ā¬‡ļø

Brityne Rucker😭

You were one of the first to welcome me to the
ā€œ12 News This Morningā€ team with open arms!

So sad to see you go, but excited to cheer you on in your next adventure!šŸ¤ŸšŸ¾

A bittersweet life update: After a lot of thought, prayer, and reflection, I’ve made the decision that my last day at KWCH will be June 2nd.

This truly wasn’t an easy decision because Kansas, and especially the agriculture community, has shaped so much of who I am. Over the last almost 6 years, I’ve had the privilege of telling stories that truly mattered.

I’m incredibly proud to have created Kansas’ #1 local ag show and to have produced and anchored more than 250 episodes over the past 5 years. I’m so proud of so many things I accomplished during my time at KWCH 12, including helping raise nearly $2 million for ag wildfire relief efforts and more than $100,000 for Kansas FFA.

The stories that mattered most to me were often the ones that could’ve easily been moved on from or forgotten after the headlines faded. That’s why it was always important to me to use storytelling as a way to truly support and make a difference in the ag community and the people behind it. That’s what I stand behind, and ultimately, what matters most to me.

I’m genuinely excited for what’s ahead and to see where life, storytelling, and the ag industry takes me next. I still have a huge passion for creating meaningful content, telling stories that matter, and building relationships in this space and I have a feeling this is only the beginning of what’s to come!

And yes… I definitely won’t miss those 2 a.m. alarm clocks. šŸ˜‚

To everyone who has watched, supported, answered my countless interview requests, trusted me with your stories, or simply encouraged me along the way… thank you. Truly. Your kindness and support have meant more than I’ll ever be able to put into words, and I’ll always be grateful for you. This not a goodbye, but rather a see you later.šŸ¤

I fall for it every year🄓

Today's high is 60-degrees in Wichita, but it's 44-degrees in the northewest part of the state...in the beginning of May. 🤷 Just another day in Kansas.
