Sometimes test prep looks a little different in PA School! Today Professor Imel put together a game of Big Brain Bingo to add a bit of fun into her Neurology course. While there were several winners, a special shout out goes to our grand prize winner Alexis, who made a great comeback after accidentally clearing her board!

How do you know you’re living the life? You smile like this when you receive new books! Thanks to funding from the Kansas Behavioral Health Center for Excellence, we were able to provide valuable resources to our students this week to further their education in behavioral health and prepare for their upcoming clinical rotations.
Physician Associate students complete 9 clinical rotations during Clinical Year, and utilize their behavioral health training in a variety of settings. A Behavioral Health Fellowship has also been established for PAs interested in furthering their education in the field of Behavioral Health. Interested in joining the next cohort? Student Spotlight 🥼 Cody, Class of 2027
Undergraduate Degree: Microbiology
Previous Healthcare Experience: Firefighter/EMT and Cardiology Patient Care Tech
Free Time Activities: Traveling, SCUBA diving, hiking, and cooking
Why I chose Wichita State PA: I had always heard about the program’s reputation throughout the Midwest, but it was not until my interview day where I experienced the value of the curriculum accompanied by a profound sense of belonging.
Advice to future PA Students: “Don’t forget who you are while in school. Sometimes everything you’ve learned will start to blend together, and it can become overwhelming and ultimately discouraging. Just remember, you are here for a reason. Take it one disease at a time, keep pushing forward, and stop stressing so hard about remediating! You earned your spot, so trust yourself and the work you’ve put in. You will be a PA!”
