Mary & Susan delivered 1200 pocket prayer shawls to Hesston UMC on March 17th. 150 going to first responders, the rest going to employees of EXCEL.

This week the knit wits made 100 pocket prayer shawls for University UMC to give to Patrol North.

Last week delivered 4 prayer shawls, 60 hats + 75 toys/colorbooks/items for CHUM kids "chemo are kits" and 75 hats & 19 colorbooks/toys to Children's Mercy Hospital on Monday. Not bad for a month.

This year so far we have made and delivered: 16 prayer shawls - 13 more to go out as soon as we can, 117 hats + 157 McDonalds toys to Children's Mercy Hospital KC, and 100 helmet hats for our soldiers. Not bad for our little group in just 3 months time.

You know it's been cold when we had 164 item turned in in the past 2 weeks at our meetings. This includes hats for Children's Mercy Hospital KC, hats for the homeless, helmet hats for soldiers, prayer shawls, fleece baby blankets and more. THANK YOU to all my knitters and crocheters.

2013 To Date: 215 hats delivered to Children's Mercy Hosp in KC, 56 purple baby hats for KCSL, 10 tiny baby hats, 29 shawls delivered, 12 shawls on hand, 4 bears delivered, 3 lap robes on hand, 6 prayer bears on hand, 93 helmet hats on hand...and another 90 hats on hand for Children's Mercy.

Count so far since April 2012: 225 hats for homeless veterans - VA Stand Down, 46 purple crying caps for Kansas Childrens Service League, 49 children's hats for winter, 16 cancer hats.
