"The Great Spirit" - Number 20/50 for our

We really had no idea what to expect out of Wichita, Kansas. We came to Kansas as ignorant New Yorkers, expecting to find cows and farms and such.

We instead found a small city rich with history and its own unique culture. Wichita surprised the f**k out of us with a vibrant and active graffiti and art community, and a deep history tied to the Native Americans that call the areas around Wichita home. Midwestern culture is deep in this city, and as a result everyone was very friendly, and we felt accepted and welcomed with open arms as soon as we got here.

We dedicated this piece to The Great Spirit, the spirit that once was revered by Native Americans as the natural force behind all life, and we incorporated a color wash technique to spread color all around this big ass wall. We still had a big section to the left that needed to be done though, but thankfully The Great Spirit aligned our friend with us and he came down to lend a hand all the way from Tennessee. He added on the rest of the natural magic elements of earth, fire, water and air, to complete the five elements of magic including Spirit.

Big special thanks to for being the hostess with the mostest and looking out for us while we were here and taking us around. Some places in America we go to don't have all that much to do, but the people are what make it spectacular and Wichita is one such place.

We will be taking a little break from our challenge to do some work in the Midwest region, but will be resuming once again in a couple of months!

“Welcome to Omaha”- mural commission for . Our friend/client from Jackson, Mississippi hired us to paint another mural for him- this time in Omaha, Nebraska. He asked us to paint some legendary local figures. From left to right, we have Buddy Miles, John Goodwin, Malcolm X, Bob Gibson and Terence “Bud” Crawford. The local community showed us a lot of love as we were painting this. We love seeing the impact that our murals make in different places! Thank you again for having us!! ❤️❤️
