If you want to be involved in the next project, I found the perfect bike. Just need to find the funds, the space, and someone it can go to. I've worked on many of these, and they're quick and easy to get going. Who wants to help?

I have a friend that's been wanting to get a motorcycle for years. Similarly to me, every time he gets close to accomplishing this, life gets in the way and he is set back again. Finally I said enough is enough, and I took it upon myself to get this man a bike. I reached out to his wife for approval, and then started working my network of people to see what we could come up with collectively that would be a reliable bike to learn on, but not something he would outgrow quickly. We were able to come up with a 1995 Virago 535 for a damn good deal. It needed some love, but nothing I can't handle. The first pictures will be the bike the last time it was running. I met up with the owner and he let me borrow some tools to get the carb off the bike last weekend. I bought the bike and he allowed me to keep it in his garage since it wasnt running. Unfortunately, it was still extremely cold outside so I just took the carb home instead of working in the snow. Tonight I tore the carb down, cleaned up absolutely everything on it, and put it back together. Tomorrow I should be able to meet back up with the previous owner to get the carb put back on. Once we get some fresh gas in it we will have to jump start it, but it should be good to go and get delivered to my friend.
