Beginner photography tip. If your device is capable of saving both JPG and RAW files at the same time, use that setting. Even if you do not know what to do with RAW files, you will have it for when you learn what to do with them. JPG files have their place. But RAW files are much better for post processing when the picture isn't perfect in camera (more about in camera in my next tip)
