Open Range Physical Therapy

Spent the last fews week helping several of our clients put the finishing touches on their preparation for Unbound Gravel.
One of the things we love most about what we do is helping people continue pursuing the activities that bring them joy and purpose—whether that's lining up for a 25-mile ride, tackling a 200-mile gravel race, keeping up with grandkids, or simply staying active and healthy.
Big goals don't happen overnight. They are built through months of consistent training, hard work, and often a few bumps in the road along the way.
We're grateful for the opportunity to help athletes and active adults navigate those challenges, stay healthy, and keep moving toward the goals that matter most to them.
Well done to all of you who tackled those brutal conditions on Saturday in Emporia! We know how much work went into getting to that starting line, and we're honored to be a small part of the journey.

🚴♂️ From broken vertebrae and weeks confined to bed… to racing 100K and 100-mile cycling events again just a few months later.
This is why personalized, one-on-one physical therapy matters.
Too often, people feel rushed through appointments, handed a sheet of exercises, and left hoping things improve.
Tyler Branine’s recovery is a great example of what can happen when care is individualized, goals are clearly defined, and treatment is designed specifically around the person — not just the injury.
One of the things we love most about working with active individuals and endurance athletes is helping them not only recover from injury, but regain the confidence to return to the activities they love and perform at a high level.
Here’s what Tyler had to say regarding his experience with Open Range Physical Therapy,
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“In June of 2024 I suffered a severe bicycle accident as a finale to a tour that left me with three broken vertebrae, a nearly debilitating injury to my achilles, a hip injury and various others, and in bed for weeks. After several weeks healing bones, I needed help getting my body working again. I have know Melissa for years and had the opportunity to discuss and observe her approach to care long before I needed her, so she was the first person I thought to call to help me manage my recovery. She made remote care possible so I could easily fit it into my schedule, coming to my home or business, and did an incredible job listening and designing care that worked.
You might be able to get care somewhere else, but it won't be the type Melissa provides. I could articulate the improvements after every session. Melissa helped me set goals and a pathway to hit milestones that were critical to my timely recovery. The biggest testament to her work? I was back on the bike and racing in a 100k mountain bike race in October of the same year and finished in the top 20%. I did the same in a 100 mile race the following weekend.
I can't recommend Open Range PT highly enough. I certainly wouldn't be where I am today from a physical standpoint without Melissa's professional and specialized care.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As a busy business owner, Tyler also found the convenience of mobile PT visits especially valuable.
Being able to receive care at his home or office made it easier to stay consistent with treatment and focus on recovery without adding more stress to an already busy schedule.
At Open Range PT, we work with everything from nagging aches and pains to post-operative rehab and complex injuries. The goal is always to help active people not just recover, but return to the activities that bring them joy and help them live healthy, active lives.
Thank you, Tyler, for trusting us to help guide your recovery journey! 🚵♂️
