This Spaghetti Nero didn't quite live up to the hype, but let's dive into it. 🦑🍝

I ordered the Spaghetti Nero, Squid ink spaghetti with crab, chilies, shrimp brodo, and breadcrumbs.

I'd heard rave reviews about this dish, so my hopes were high. The plate arrived, and I must admit, it wasn't what I expected, but I was unaware this was not the typical presentation. I was later told that my experience was much different and that I should have had a nicer presentation and better taste. At the time, it looked more like a soup with some spaghetti strands submerged. The taste was somewhat disappointing, too. The spaghetti felt undercooked, and the portion was tiny. The flavors didn't quite pop as I'd hoped.

On the bright side, the restaurant's atmosphere was fantastic. The ambiance and overall experience were pleasant.

Despite the letdown, Napoli Italian Eatery is still a promising spot. I'll give it another shot to see if I get the same experience as everyone raves about. I don’t duplicate posts with the same entree on my page, but I think it would only be fair to break this rule of mine and update my experience with everyone later.

I had such a great time at ’s pop up, last week, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on the dishes I tried:

1. Crazy Cucumber “Cups”: These cucumber cups were seriously cool! They were like a burst of sweet and tangy goodness in every bite. Picture this: chamoy, Up in Sweets’ Signature Candy Powder, and dulces enchilados coming together in a cucumber cup, all drizzled with lime juice and topped with more fruits and candies. It was a flavor explosion, and I couldn’t get enough.
2. Elote Ramen: Now, this was a fusion I never knew I needed in my life. The Elote Ramen was a mix of Mexican and Asian flavors, and it worked like magic. Think special sauce, nacho cheese, Cotija cheese, crushed hot Cheetos, chili powder, Valentina sauce, and lime juice – all on top of ramen. Plus, they didn’t skimp on the hot Cheeto crunch, which was awesome. I did remove the corn, but for the corn lovers, you can’t miss this delicious opportunity.
3. Grape Kabobs: These Grape Kabobs were pure genius. Grapes wrapped in fruit roll-up, covered in chamoy and that Signature Candy Powder – it was like a sweet dream come true. The salsagheti candy and dulces enchilados added a playful twist, and the rim dip sauce and lime wedge? Perfect finishing touches.

And here’s the best part – the owners were not just nice; they were amazing. Their friendly vibes made the whole experience even better. Don’t miss out on Up in Sweets. It’s a place where creativity and flavor collide, and it’ll leave your taste buds dancing! I can’t stop thinking about the Ramen and Grape Kabobs!
