⚠️ Important Medicaid Update for Firstcare - Baylor Scott & White Health Plan Members ⚠️

Firstcare (BSWHP) will exit the Texas Medicaid Managed Care Program effective August 31, 2026.

If you are currently enrolled in Firstcare (BSWHP), you should begin selecting a new Medicaid health plan by July 31st to help prevent any gaps in coverage. Plan changes may take up to 30 days to take effect.

Need help making the change? Community Healthcare Center offers free, unbiased assistance and enrollment through its Outreach & Enrollment Department during regular business hours, Monday–Friday.

Carrie has been a Certified Nurse Midwife for the past 10 years and has had the privilege of helping bring more than 1,000 babies into the world. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Carrie is excited to join CHC and looks forward to serving the women and families in our community with compassionate, high-quality care.
