At City View Elementary, we believe in HIGH STANDARDS and HIGH EXPECTATIONS. This MAP data from the 2025-2026 school year shows what can happen when amazing teachers, hardworking students, supportive families, and a strong community all pull in the same direction.

Across Reading, Math, and Science, our students OUTPERFORMED projected growth levels! That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because our teachers TEACH HIGH, our students rise to the challenge, and our staff pours everything they have into kids every single day.

Today we recognized some incredible people who truly represent the Mustang Way!

🏆 Teacher of the Year – Stacy Pearson
Hard working, helpful, firm, and loving. Stacy pours her heart into our kids and school every single day. Well deserved! She is the Standard!

🏆 Paraprofessional of the Year – Carla Swanner
Our amazing Emergent Bilingual Paraprofessional who is always willing to help anyone at any time. She would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Thank you also for your service to our country as an Army Veteran!

🏆 True Blue Award – Johnny Wauqua
Johnny, our wonderful custodian, is the heartbeat of our hallways and will do anything asked of him. Days, nights, weekends — he is always there for our school.

These three set the standard for others every single day. We are blessed to have them at City View Elementary!
