As a reminder!

No school this Thursday (March 19th) for Teacher Inservice and Friday (March 20th) for Spring Break!

Classes will resume on Monday, March 23rd 🌷 ☀️

🐣 We are gearing up for the annual Whitewood Elementary Easter Egg Hunt in two weeks! We will be gathering candy and prizes to start stuffing the eggs for this fun and exciting tradition for the students. If you would like to donate a bag of candy or small prizes we would greatly appreciate it! Just drop it off to the main office anytime next week!! 🪺 🍬

🗓️ Our monthly PTO meeting has been moved to next Monday, March 9th @ 3:10 pm in the teacher’s lounge so we can attend the Festival Choir concert in Sturgis at 3:30 pm today (Sturgis Community Center if you would like to attend as well!) 🎶

⏰ Whitewood Elementary has a late start this Wednesday (March 4th). School starts at 10:00 am that day!

📚 We are gearing up for our annual Read-A-Thon fundraiser and it also happens to fall on Read Across America Week March 2nd-6th! 🇺🇸

Be checking your child’s backpack for the packet that includes dates, pledge form, and goals 🙌🏼 We are encouraging students to shoot for 100+ minutes and $200 raised in those four days for the ultimate amount of raffle tickets and Whitewood Elementary gear in prizes!! ❤️🤍🖤

More than anything, we are promoting the love of reading and literacy while at home 🏡 So grab some books and snuggle up with those kids for an enjoyable time reading 📖

This event begins next week, Monday, March 2nd so you can work on those pledges and donations through the weekend!

👩‍🏫 Parent Teacher Conferences are tomorrow (Monday) and Thursday! The PTO and parents are providing a Soup & Sandwich Bar for the staff so they don’t have to worry about dinner! 🍲 🥪
