Have you ever wondered when to seek mental health support for your child or family? You’re not alone. 💚

It may be time to reach out if concerns last more than a few weeks, cause distress, and/or interfere with daily life.

Signs to look for in younger children:
-Frequent tantrums or irritability
-Ongoing fears or worries
-Unexplained headaches or stomach aches
-Trouble sitting still
-Changes in sleep or energy

Older children:
-Loss of interest in favorite activities
-Low energy or fatigue
-Withdrawing from family or friends
-Changes in eating or exercise habits
-Risky behaviors or substance use
-Thoughts of self-harm or su***de
-Hearing or seeing things others do not

Reaching out is a strong and caring first step. Support can make a difference. 🌱The Buckeye Ranch has a variety of Community-Based Mental Health programs that may provide the right support in your moment of need.

July is BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month 💚Mental health care should reflect every story—and every story deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

At The Buckeye Ranch, we honor the unique mental health experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. We recognize that mental health is not one-size-fits-all. Many individuals and families face systemic barriers, cultural stigma, and historical trauma that can impact mental well-being and access to care.

That is why we are committed to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care—meeting youth and families where they are and ensuring every voice is valued and respected.

Together, we can continue to break down barriers, challenge stigma, and build a more equitable future where all communities have the support they deserve.
