I had so much FOMO the other night when data points showed the aurora was going to be strong.
So the next night, I made a mission when data showed decent, but not as favorable conditions. So I drove 4 hours north into the Canadian Rockies at this iconic location to see what the night delivered.
It was considerably colder than Montana, but there was at least clear skies. This was a culmination of 3 shots delivering different exposures for train, aurora, and foreground that I was able to blend together for one composite image.
I still missed by about a sec of one continuous light trail of the train, but I can’t wait to get back up to this place.
