Details

At 326 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wheeling,
moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Wheeling, Washington, Martins Ferry, Bellaire, Warwood, Bethlehem,
West Liberty, Triadelphia, Avella, Clearview, Valley Grove,
Wolfdale, McGovern, East Washington, Bridgeport, Yorkville,
Bethany, Claysville and Brookside.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has
produced large hail.

A major water break has occurred on 4th and Main St in Wheeling. Main St in North Wheeling is closed for repairs. Citizens are advised to use alternate routes. Semi truck traffic is advised to use route #7 to the Wellsburg bridge
