It’s been a difficult week 💔

I’m so grateful I made it in time…to hold her hand, share memories, and remind her just how loved she was.

My grandmother lived an extraordinary 97 years. Early in life, she worked tirelessly selling fruit in a small town in Peru. The hard work of my grandmother and grandfather eventually brought them to Lima and then to the United States. Her determination helped create a more comfortable life for her family, and her tireless work ethic inspired everyone who knew her.

Later in life, you’d often find her studying her Bible or teaching others what she had learned…a steady reflection of the depth of her faith. She also never lost her sense of adventure…even in her later years, she embraced life fully.

Saying goodbye to someone who’s been a constant in your life is never easy, but I am deeply thankful for every moment, every story, and every lesson she shared. ❤️

Friday will be my last day at WTRF 7News.

It’s hard to put into words what my time here has meant to me. From sharing stories that highlight the wonderful qualities of this region to guiding you through some of the most difficult days for our community, it has truly been a privilege. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes and trusting me to share these moments with you.

This community will always hold a special place in my heart. While Friday marks the close of one chapter, I’m excited to see what might come next.

For now, I simply want to say thank you—it has been an honor.

And because you never know what could happen in the future, I won’t say goodbye…just see you later. 💕
