Have you ever gotten goosebumps from a song?
Jenny Snyder connects that feeling to marketing through a condition called frisson, the physical response some people get from music, films, stories, artwork, and other emotional triggers.
It might be chills.
Skin tingling.
Goosebumps.
That moment when a song brings back a memory, the beat drops at exactly the right time, or an ad somehow makes you feel nostalgia, home, family, or happiness all at once.
And that matters in advertising.
Because the best campaigns do not just show a product. They create a feeling people remember.
Jenny breaks down how music, storytelling, emotion, and brand connection all work together, and why thinking deeply about what your customer feels may be what separates you from a competitor.

Creating content for a business should not feel like managing ten separate jobs.
Eric Hersey breaks down a simpler way to think about content marketing in 2026: start with one real conversation.
Not a forced blog assignment.
Not a random TikTok idea.
Not social posts created just to fill a calendar.
A real conversation with someone inside the business who knows the product, the customers, the process, and the questions people actually ask.
From there, one hour can become a podcast, YouTube video, blogs, website updates, email content, social posts, and short-form videos. It keeps the content more cohesive, more useful, and more human.
Because what separates a business online is not more AI slop.
It is the actual words, experience, and perspective of the people inside the company.

Design is a little like ice cream.
Everyone has a flavor they like.
Some people want chocolate. Some want vanilla. Some want something with twelve ingredients and a name that barely fits on the label.
Web design works the same way.
Some clients like circles. Some like boxes. Some like bold colors. Some want everything clean and simple.
That is fine.
Our job is not to fight every personal preference.
Our job is to make sure the final product is quality, functional, and living up to the standard.
We will not let a client make decisions that hurt the design.
But we are also not going to start a war because you like Rocky Road and we prefer Mint Chocolate Chip.
As long as the final cone is high-quality, well-built, and worth serving, we are happy.

The biggest hurdle in podcasting usually isn’t the equipment, the editing, or the perfect launch plan.
It’s hitting record.
Eric Hersey shares a story from a country club in Charleston, West Virginia, where one simple piece of advice came out during dinner:
Record the podcast.
Not because the first episode will be perfect. It probably won’t be.
But because once something is recorded, it becomes real. It creates momentum. It gives you something to improve, share, repurpose, and maybe even look back on years from now.
Podcasting does not have to be about sponsorships, huge download numbers, or becoming an influencer. Sometimes it is pillar content. Sometimes it is connection. Sometimes it is documentation. Sometimes it is just a good excuse to keep talking to someone you care about.
The tech is here. The idea is there. The perfect time probably is not coming.

Just Start the Podcast: Why Hitting Record Matters A personal reminder that starting a podcast does not require perfect timing, fancy equipment, or a massive audience - just the courage to hit record.

Eric recently visited the Hot Dog Hall of Fame, which feels like the proper training needed for National Hot Dog Day.
Now we need your vote.
Which city hot dog are you picking?

2. Colorado
Nathan’s Famous hot dog with grilled peppers, onions, and sauerkraut.
3. Kansas City

4. Boston
Kayem all-beef dog on a toasted New England-style bun with spicy brown mustard, diced onions, and relish.
5. Washington

6. New York
Sabrett all-beef hot dog with sauerkraut and mustard.
7. Arizona
Vienna all-beef dog with smoked bacon, pinto beans, grilled onions and peppers, and cheese.
8. Milwaukee

9. Detroit

Choose wisely.
This is the kind of market research we take seriously.

Content marketing is not just blogging.
It is your social posts, short-form videos, podcasts, emails, ebooks, physical materials, networking, and the way your business shows up in the world.
Strong Minded Agency breaks down what content marketing actually means in 2026 in Episode 10 of Meeting of the (Strong) Minds.
The biggest takeaway?
Posting just to post is probably just noise.
Effective content marketing starts with knowing what you want to say, who you want to say it to, and why it matters. It means answering real customer questions, showing actual personality, and creating content that feels sincere instead of forced.
You do not have to be everywhere.
You do not have to post every day.
You do not have to become a YouTuber or TikToker overnight.
But you do need to create with intention.

What Even Is Content Marketing Anymore? - Strong Minded Agency If you are posting just to post, that is probably just noise. That is Eric putting it plainly in Episode 10 of Meeting of the (Strong) Minds, and it is the kind of honest observation that cuts through a lot of the confusion around content marketing today. This month, Eric, Jenny, and Luke sit down [...

The internet is about to be flooded with technically correct, perfectly structured, completely forgettable content.
Eric Hersey makes the case for blogging with something AI can’t honestly duplicate: real stories, personal opinions, lived experience, weird references, lessons learned, and the kind of perspective that only comes from an actual human being.
Yes, blogs still need to answer questions. They still need to help search engines understand who you are, what you do, and why you matter.
But the content that will stand out is the content that feels real.
Because people don’t connect with recycled stories from robots. They connect with people.

“Perfect” is a heavy word.
Jenny Snyder writes about why she avoids it, in life and in creative work. Not because quality does not matter. Not because details should be ignored. But because chasing perfection can make work feel stale, lifeless, or ingenuine.
Her mindset is different:
Make it just right.
That might mean leaving space for something slightly imperfect, more human, more relatable, and more accessible.
From Paige Bradley’s “Expansion (Half Life)” to the Winged Victory of Samothrace at the Louvre, Jenny reflects on how visible cracks, missing pieces, and incomplete forms can still create something powerful, beautiful, and memorable.
Especially in design, where creativity is subjective, the goal does not have to be perfect.
It can be intentional.
It can be honest.
It can be exactly the way it should be.

The Imperfect Mindset, in Life and Work - Strong Minded Agency I ABHOR the word “perfect.” I almost don’t even want to type it. My kids know not to use that word in my presence. It makes my skin crawl and just doesn’t sit well. Let me explain further. That word carries so much weight and expectation with it. Being imperfect humans, when I hear the […]
