My journey into sobriety was an unexpected one. In June of last year (which honestly seems like 5 years ago, am I right?!?), I was looking for an edge in performance, and I decided to take a 30-day break from booze. After my 30 days, I decided to stretch my goal to 100 days... then I got to 100 and thought, “Why not a year?” I hit my year anniversary a few months ago, and I cannot honestly see myself going back to my former lifestyle. And I don’t even think I “had a problem.” Booze, however, was leaving me in a perpetual funk throughout the week.
PUMPED to have such a fantastic ally and teammate in Megan 🙌🏻
Repost from using - Many of you are celebrating SOBER OCTOBER and I wanna give you a huge high-5 🙌 for hitting the reset button on your alcohol intake and checking in with yourself, asking “what’s up” when the mind and body are clear ! 👏 ❤️ 💡
May I suggest ...trail hiking or running as an alternate activity ?! Spend the $ you would’ve spent on drinks, on a pair of good shoes instead. One step further? Consider investing in a coach to help you! Accountability is a HUGE component of success 🥇. My friend and coach and I want to offer you this challenge:
— comment below if you’re going sober in October.
— tag us in your public-commitment post where you share how you’re doing and what recreation you’re doing in place of drinking.
— contact for a FREE 15-minute zoom/google chat/video consult (shoot him a DM to schedule) ... ask your questions about how to get started, what shoes may be best for you, what stretches or core activities might you add before and after .... and so on. Thomas aka TS is standing by to help you this month -and so am I!
Let us know how we can support you in this awesome October goal-post comments and questions below.
- bonus: check out the app and keep track of dollars saved and calories not consumed this month. It’ll blow your mind ! 🤯
