your nervous system said “we sit weird for survival” and your psoas muscle said “cool, I’ll just stay tight forever” 🫠
if you’re neurodivergent, odds are you:

it’s not random. it’s your psoas doing the absolute most.
the psoas connects your spine → pelvis → legs
aka your body’s “stay ready for everything” muscle
aka the one that tightens when you sit funky for hours
so no, you’re not “bad at sitting”
you just have a nervous system that likes ✨options✨

💫 movement breaks (even chaotic ones count)
💫 positions that support your body instead of fighting it

Tip #2 - Find A Hobby
People are always surprised when I tell them they should pack something to do in the down time because they have a perception that there won't be any downtime. The reality is, most labors are around 18 hours or more and you most certainly will not be having contractions every moment of that time.
In the early stages, there is actually a lot of downtime and having something run to entertain your brain will keep you relaxed and engaged to avoid burnout and feelings of anxiety around the process. This should be something that brings you joy and stimulates your mind like a book or game or even a craft that you enjoy.
