Trueform Concrete

It’s always a pleasure to witness our clients and collaborators using concrete in unique and unexpected ways. Such is the case for Studio M Design - who recently chose our Rise 20” pedestal sink for a bathroom project while commissioning a complementary, cylindrical concrete piece to act as a creative storage & display piece.

There are few things as satisfying as a really good cup of coffee – and Blue Bottle knows how to deliver on that promise. Here is a concrete serving station / checkout counter we created for their Midtown North location. While it appears rather simple, it required extensive outfitting to enable ventilation as well as the incorporation of various pieces of commercial equipment. It was fabricated in sections and then assembled on site to achieve this monolithic look and feel.

A 12-foot custom dining table for a client who clearly has an appetite for entertaining. Concrete is especially useful for outdoor living areas thanks to its ability to be colored or shaped in order to integrate into other design elements.

Trueform created and installed concrete countertops at bars and serving stations throughout Perona Farms. Choosing our “Carbon” color enabled the designer to echo the dark hues of the beams, steel elements and chairs – further promoting an industrial theme. Photography: Dave Nunez.
